Hi Nev

Not yet, but, thanks for asking.
Pretty much ready to return it and change to different wireless solution.  Any recommendations for the Robot Shop  Rover  v1.

Hi Kinesi,

I know the wifi shield is difficult to setup. Perhaps I can make a suggestion. Use an Xboard, a pair of Xbees and an expansion shield. This might be a bit more expensive, but I think you will get much more flexibility for this and future projects.

Hector, thanks for the recommendation.

Can you recommend an expansion shield? I have found a couple on the site, but, the level of detail to understand exactly what they are capable of seems light.

Thanks again.

Kinesi,

Well, for the small Arduino there is only 1 Expansion shield.

For the Mega I would recommend V2 of the Expansion shield

Hi Hector

From the MEGA328P chip on the board I have (picture attached), the Mega IO Expansion Shield V2 appears to be the right solution.

I'm looking forward to moving forward with this project.

Thanks to you and Nev for sharing knowledge.

Sincerely
Robert

Hi Robert,

For this platform you need the small IO Expansion shield. The MEGA shield is not compatible with this one.

You can see that the headers on your robot are the same as the Arduino and not similar to the MEGA
