IO Expansion Shield V5 Power
« on: May 02, 2012, 10:54:42 pm »
I'm trying to set up an IO expansion sheild (v5) for an arduino, and i'm a bit confused on how the power situation works.

When i'm powering the device through USB, both the PWR_IN and Servo_PWR + screw terminals give me 5V. Is it safe to plug a 6V supply into the Servo_PWR screw terminals without damaging the arduino or the shield?

yes. you can apply 6v on servo power terminal. it will not damage the arduino.
