DFR0646 Gravity: 8-Digital LED Segment Display Module & Python

I am looking to build a project where I need an 8 digit display. In my original design, I was going to build my own PCB and use an HT16K33 driver and (8) 7-segment displays. Then I came across this. Price wise, much easier and simpler, and I don't have to do all the component level work.

The basis of the project, I have a Raspberry Pi running a Python script I have written, and this will be the “output” from the Pi. I was already planning to use I2C, so this makes it easy since this unit is I2C as well.

But, looking at the wiki for this unit (https://wiki.dfrobot.com/8-Digital%20LED%20Segment%20Display%20Module%20%20SKU:%20DFR0646-G_DFR0646-R), I see Arduino example code, but no python code. I also noticed in the example for the DRF0646, it uses the address 0x48-0x4B, and the HT16K33 uses 0x70-0x77 (using the 28-sop). Based on this, I am guessing the DFR0646 does not use the HT16K33 as the driver?

So with all of that, my question is this. Is there an example using Python to control this module?

Thank you in advance for your help.
