New Products Roundup - June

DFRobot Jun 18 2014 450

Summer has approached! It's getting hot again, and people are spending more and more time at home. So, we are creating more gadgets! Let's see what we have in the past few days.
First is a nice and cute DIY kit suitable for families, schools and workshops: the 4-Soldering Zoo Animal Kit. This DIY soldering kit contains everything you need to create simple circuits with minimum level electronics and soldering. Kids will be introduced to basics of circuit, soldering skills and take the opportunity to play with LEDs to bring animals to life! This kit comes with six well-designed PCB animals and vivid scenes, soft light RGB LED with nice transitions and battery life up to 48h. MSRP Price at only $16.90. Also we have developed a new “Shake” 8*8 LED MatrixExpress it. Display it, with this tiny, portable, magic LED matrix!

This tiny display has 64 red LEDs packed into a 8*8 dot matrix. It integrated ATmega32u4 as MCU and has built-in onboard shock sensor, with which you can display pre-programmed image when the module is shaked. It also comes with a 140mah Lipo battery which can last for 4 hours of displaying. It is great for displaying image/text or creating bizarre patterns, and is highly portable and convienient to use. Of course you can program it via IDE or via Mind+ graphically. With just a few steps, you are ready to impress others! And then we have an Upper Deck for MiniQ, which allows you to easily upgrade your MiniQ with extra servos, sensors and whatever. It is compatible with 9g micro servo and URM ultrasonic mounting bracket. With this upper deck you can equip the MiniQ with more sensors, and carry more duties - more possibilities, much more fun. The leaf pads on the surface make it an ideal on-the-go prototyping board, and it is stackable. You can not only solder DIP components but also solder SMD components with this upper deck.

For those who are looking for Raspberry Pi, we are now offering the Raspberry Pi Module B 512MB RAM. The Raspberry Pi is to be made available in two editions: the Model A, and the Model B. Named for the differing editions of the classic BBC Micro from British computing giant Acorn, the two models differ only in their capabilities: the B has a 10/100M Ethernet jack and two USB ports to the A's single port and lack of any form of on-board networking.

This is the Raspberry Pi Model B with 512MB RAM. At its heart is a Broadcom BCM2835 system-on-chip processor running at 700MHz, with a VideoCore IV GPU running at 250MHz. A single 256MB module of Hynix LPDDR memory running at 400MHz provides RAM for both the CPU and GPU, with the typical split leaving around 186MB of memory available for the user.

If you are figuring out your OEM machine design or thinking about a vending machine, then check out the Barcode Reader/Scanner Module - CCD Camera. This Barcode Reader/Scanner Module has been designed to provide highest scanning performance in the smallest package possible. For added versatility, allowing for fast, cost-effective interchangeablity when upgrading or modifying your OEM design for dedicated applications.
It uses a compact, long range CCD barcode scanning module with highly sensitive liner image sensor and build in auto-sense function, which can be used in your project to decode nearly any kind of 1D(striped) barcode. Designed with the industrial standard size, mounting options and output to facilitate integration into various applications, this barcode scanner is ideal for integration into data terminals and other small devices. Its unique open system architecture also allows it to accept third party and custom plug-ins, giving the virtually unlimited application flexibility. A new comer has arrived in our range sensor family - PIR (Motion) Sensor. PIR sensors allow you to sense motion, almost always used to detect whether a human has moved in or out of the sensors range. They are small, inexpensive, low-power, easy to use and don't wear out. For that reason they are commonly found in appliances and gadgets used in homes or businesses. They are often referred to as PIR, "Passive Infrared", "Pyroelectric", or "IR motion" sensors.
This PIR (Motion) Sensor can detect the infrared signals from the person or animals which are moving, and can output the switching signals. So it can be applied to a variety of occasions which need to detect the movement of the human body. Conventional pyroelectric infrared sensors require body pyroelectric infrared detector, professional chip, complex peripheral circuit, so the volume is slightly big, circuit is complex, and reliability is slightly lower. We bring this new pyroelectric infrared motion sensor which is specially designed for Arduino to you, an integrated digital body pyroelectric and infrared sensor, with small size, high reliability, low power consumption, and simple peripheral circuit. With this comes to an end of this roundup, as always, thanks for reading, and we are open to any suggestions or comments regarding our new products. See you soon with more new things!
