keeping the magic smoke in the beetle

Hi All,

there is a BOM & schematic tabbed on the ArduinoCreate files linked above.
the BOM has links to most of the components. For Clarity an image is included with this post.

What I am most interested in is the power supply . I know the schematic is missing a power switch and there should be a cap across the motors for protection, but before i put this together and let some magic smoke out of the beetle or IR sensor I would be grateful for advice on how the two 3v7 600mA batteries are divided and whether the generated 7v4, 5V and 3v3 supplies will amply supply the beetle, L293 & FC-51 IR sensor.
