Maqueen Plus - Left motor not working

I've bought several Maqueen Plus Robots to host a week long robotics workshops here in Italy.
I'm really impressed by the scalability and the incredible possibilities of the platform: congratulations dfrobot!
I ave a problem, though.
The left motor of one of the robots is not working properly: when triggered, starts moving but after some time it stops. I try to read the values of the robot, and sometimes is "stop" even if it should be going either forward or backwards.
Do you have any debugging procedure to do?
I'm using it with Make Code, and te code I'm using is working on all the others, hence I thought it's not relevant.
