Introduction

This digital buzzer module is a basic breath sound generator that can be driven using a high or low signal. By varying the oscillation frequency, you can hear different sounds. It finds wide application in everyday devices such as personal computers, refrigerators, and mobile phones. With this compact, useful buzzer module, you can also create a variety of intriguing interactive projects.

To simplify the use of this Arduino buzzer module, a Gravity interface is adapted to allow plug&play. The IO expansion shield is the best match for this sound sensor connected to your Arduino. As this sensor can work at 3.3V which makes it compatible with common controllers such as Arduino, micro:bit, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi.

If you are a beginner, it is recommended to purchase an Arduino kit with tutorials, such as the Gravity: Intermediate Kit for Arduino and the Gravity: Starter Kit for Arduino.

Projects

Project 1: How to Make a Santa Alarm
Introduction: Using the new RGB color sensor available at DFRobot, I rigged up a simple proximity alarm. I can use this to warn me if someone is in a close range of my Christmas tree putting presents under there. The hardware of this project is pretty simple and suitable for beginners.

Project 2: Annoying Soil Moisture Sensor with Photon and IFTTT Project

Introduction: Never forget to water your plants again with this super annoying project. It combines visual, auditory, and textual cues that will prevent you from doing anything else until you provide your plant with much-needed hydration. A piezo buzzer constantly blares a shrill note, while a super-bright LED annoys your peripheral vision. In addition, this project will send constant texts to your phone reminding you that your plant needs to be watered. Sounds like fun, right?

Project 3: micro:bit Laser Target

Introduction: The ambient light sensor sensor detects the intensity of the laser pointer. If it is greater than 400, it will sound the buzzer and the servo will make the target fall and up. Game over when it reaches 10. Press A to reset score to 0.

Project 4: Make Sports Push Buttons with ESP32-C3 to Get You Moving

Introduction: One day an idea comes to my mind, can I turn my arcade buttons into a device that helps me do sports? Sounds not bad. I decided to give it a try.
