DFRobot at embedded world 2026 – Accelerating "From Idea to Prototype in Minutes"

DFRobot Mar 17 2026 16

What a fantastic week in Nuremberg! embedded world 2026 has officially wrapped up, and we want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who visited the DFRobot booth in Hall 5. It was an incredible experience meeting with global industry peers, developers, and partners to discuss the future of open-source hardware, AIoT, and embedded computing.

This year, everything we showcased was driven by one core mission: helping you go "FROM IDEA TO PROTOTYPE IN MINUTES." If you missed the event or want to catch up on what you saw amidst the rush, here is a quick recap of our top technology showcases and exclusive resources.

Top Showcases at the DFRobot Booth

1. The Crowd Favorite: AI Electronic Nose Live Demo

One of our most popular interactive demos was the AI-powered "Electronic Nose." By combining our Fermion MEMS gas sensor array with TinyML and the powerful LattePanda Mu x86 compute module, we demonstrated how embedded devices can classify complex chemical signatures. The system successfully generated detailed flavor profiles in real-time using local LLMs—even distinguishing an IPA from a Lager on the spot!

2. Edge AI & Vision: Real-Time Defect Detection

We showcased the true power of edge AI without cloud dependency. Using our K230 AI camera (Gravity: HUSKYLENS series) combined with LLMs, we demonstrated instant PCBA inspection. The setup performed real-time defect analysis and part sorting, proving how embedded AI can drastically optimize industrial inspection pipelines.

3. LattePanda Ecosystem in Action

The versatility of the LattePanda x86 family was on full display across multiple industry applications:

  • Smart Factories: We featured the Peakboard Box, an industrial edge device reliably powered by the LattePanda 3 Delta, creating real-time, data-driven factory dashboards.

  • Autonomous Driving & Retro Gaming: Showcasing the ultimate modularity of the LattePanda Mu, we displayed a Smart Donkeycar for open-source autonomous driving prototypes, right next to a custom Polymega retro gaming console.

4. Our Massive Sensor Matrix

Our "idea to prototype" philosophy relies heavily on our extensive sensor ecosystem. Visitors got hands-on with dozens of sensors, including:

DFRobot in the Press: Shaping the Future of AIoT

Our mission to empower professional engineers caught the attention of major tech media at the event. A major highlight was our CEO, Ricky Ye, sitting down with DigiKey for an exclusive interview to discuss shaping the future of AIoT and edge computing.

Additionally, our innovations were featured across top industry platforms:
