OBD-II adapter power supply for GPRS shield
steve.newt 2014-04-18 23:51:39 4908 Views1 Replies I bought a GPRS Shield which states it requires a separate power supply because it requires more than 2amps. Could it be powered via the OBD adapter? I appreciate it is stepped down from 12v to 5v but I think the amp rating is what is important?

2014-04-19 17:38:39 Thanks. I have read two conflicting specs on the board I bought, so will just have to find out by trail and error. If it works I will post it up as could help others.
