Communicate with DESFire ev 1 (DFR0231)

i recently bought the NFC reader. Now i wonder if there is a more or less nice way to communicate with a DESFire ev 1 or if i have to implement it by myself using the np532 and Mifare DESFire ev 1 specifications?
