userHead okman23 2014-04-02 16:49:31 6647 Views19 Replies
i need some help. i have Bluno V1.6.
i tried to change the firmware with the step ( wiki )
my pc os is win7, but it didnt recognize the bluno as an USB Flash

1.Press and hold the Boot button on BLUNO and connect computer through USB. After power on, release the button.
2.Computer will recognize the BLUNO as an USB flash drive.
3.Open the disk and delete the "*.bin" file. After that USB flash drive will automatically reboot and be remounted.
4.Copy the new "*.bin" file (see BLE Firmware in Document section )
5.After it automatically reboots, the BLE Firmware will be successfully updated.

1. would you give me another guide please?
2. and, i'd like to make the BLE firmware by myself,, how can i do?

2014-04-05 00:05:58 Hello Okman,
The newest firmware is V1.7. I think what you got is that one.
It is quite different from V1.6. It needs a software to update firmware.
But the usage is same.
We also will update the wiki about V1.7 these day.
Please wait for some days.

2014-04-04 02:53:28 Welcome Okman23,

What do you mean you checked on other PC? you tried on other PC and it was working?
The CDC/ACM driver most likely is installed. And is the driver used by Arduino. If Arduino is detected and you can upload a sketch then ACM is working.

I think the bluno driver should be MTP (media transfer protocol) but I'm not entirely sure. However, as far as I know this is also activated on windows installations. We'll check on this.

2014-04-03 19:01:33 Hey,Okman
Could you try the AT command?
You could use"AT+VERSION=?"  to check the version of the firmware.
It is better to attach a screenshot about the device manager, especially the COM port.

V1.6 is the newest one.
Does it work fine?

2014-04-02 18:40:15 thank you for your fast reply.

i can't see anything in my device manage. ( i can see  com5 connect ).
before bluno pwr on , i was pusing the BOOT button and released after pwr on completed..

in my bluno, the firmware version is V1.6.
however, is there any way to make the firmware ( my own firmware to test ble chip ) ?

Welcome to our DFRobot forum.
Do you have any trouble with Step 2 ?
Does anything appear in your device manager? A usb flash driver?
Have you change another computer to have a try?

Does the Bluno work fine?
The newest firmware is V1.6.
It is no need to update the firmware.
