Good evening,
I just bought the GPS/GPRS/GSM Module V3.0.
the problem is that I was unable to make it work. I use a USB-UART Adapter and CoolTermWin program to send AT command.
no result.

has the following configuration:
S1: Comm Mode
S2: USB mode
S3: UART Select
J10, J11 and J12 with jumpers.

LED indicator:
PWR: red
STAT: off
NET: off
Code: Select all
USB <=============> GPS / GPRS / GSM Module V3.0.
TX---------------------------- > RX
RX---------------------------- > TX
5v ----------------------------> 5v
GND -------------------------> GND

Thank you in advance for your help.
sorry for my English :oops:

2016-03-17 23:53:13 Hello again,
this has not agreed on the issue,
I explain:
Arduino and Shields are connected and powering by batterie.OK
and besides that I want to send AT command, so I have to plug in
USB cable.
Or I have to disconnect the battery and connect the USB?
thank you.

2016-03-17 18:34:19 Hi baiteche_kamel,

This is what I used before, http://www.dfrobot.com/index.php?route= ... uct_id=489, be noted that Voltage and current output should both be considered. ;)

2016-03-17 17:22:46 Leff thank you,
GPS / GPRS / GSM Module V3.0
does not work I think this is due to lack of electrical power.
but works with external power supply Could I Showed you. I send an SMS.
So the module works very well.

my question:
May I use the external power supply to supply the module and use USB cable to communicte with the module (same time).

2016-03-17 11:14:24 Hi,

1) I am not sure if the power 300mA is enough? Better with a larger one.

2) I suggest you could start with GPS, it only needs USB cable for power supply on your Uno, don't have to consider the external power supply.

2016-03-17 04:00:09 Hello again,
I lent an Arduino UNO, I want to know if I can use the USB cable and an external power supply at the same time.
and if not how to feed (Arduino UNO and GSM / GPS Shields V3) and communicates using a terminal
thank you

2016-03-16 18:42:33 Hello,
thank you for helping me Leff, look image 1: I receive corrupted data.
may be because of dfrobot that I use looks at the image 2.
I measure the voltage with a multimeter indicates 12.24V and current indicates 12.6 mA.

2016-03-16 11:01:42 Your English is good, and you have described your wiring very clearly! Very impressive!

But the power connection is not correct, please use an external power supply([email protected] is suggested), and through Vin instead of 5V.

I also draw something like you do :D
