do you think there is a simple way to use elm327 chip to simulate engine work? Grab some date from the real ecu modify it & send modified data to another port?
2015-02-01 20:45:52 Hi Stanley... Interesting project. But even when the interface is working smoothly, what will you get out of it? The diagnostic codes will be meaningless unless have some type of manual, or look-up tables. I suspect these are not public domain available? It is also likely a moving target; may work one day, but next released series will not, or the codes will be different, etc. This is interesting work though... Hope to learn more about this stuff and about OBD-II ports and port protocols. Does sound like fun...

I am a student in Albania, i have a project to start my Car engine through Arduino with some relays and stuff,
I also tryed to read out OBD2 data or VAG-COM through Arduino, i have a VCDS cable also i do have a obd2 to usb cable, do i need anything else for that ? please answer me i need help, also i need help with that gps, its not working on my arduino, i have the same GPS shield like you. please email me [email protected]
