about dfplayer mini

hello.
I'm using an Arduino mini 05, and rx and tx pins are used to program it.
So I need to use other pins with dfplayer, at least during programming.
Can I use other pins of arduino than the TX0 and dfrobot, using SoftwareSerial library?
Is the resistance between the TX pin of dfplayer, and RX pin of arduino needed?

4.2V is the best working voltage, under the voltage, the service life is longest.
Of course, under 5V, it also can work normally.

It is better to feed the DFplayer mini module with 4.2V (Typical) or 5V?
or is the same.
thank's for the help

Welcome here!
Yes, you could use the SoftwareSerial library with other digital pins with DFplayer mini module. The resistance is needed to lower the voltage from Arduino 5V to 3.3V as much as possible, otherwise there might be noise.
