When you try and force it anyway, it simply does not work.

That APK is from 2016, so no surprise it won't run on modern Android. DFRobot hasn't pushed an updated build.
The source is on GitHub though — BlunoBasicDemo repo. May be you can pull it into Android Studio and bump the target SDK
