Thanks for your interested in our DFRobot.
On our website page, we can see the spider robot is assembled via two ROB0103 in the video, so you need two ROB0103 to assemble a spider robot. If only one ROB0103, the robot will only be able to back and forward.
And if you want to use the mobile phone app to control the robot, I would like to suggest you choose Romeo Ble controller--DFR0305. As for the controller you have bought, sorry, they can be used, but not the most suitable. If you dont want to use a phone app, DFR0004 will be ok. Sorry for our inaccurate info, under the warranty, you are entitled to demand a refund or return.
