Arduino Beginner's Kit - locks up on compile

The compiler locks up on project two every time - no error message[attachment=0]uno.jpg[/attachment]

Its so strange! I have no idea about that. I would like to suggest you can go to download the IDE version of 1.6.8 or to 1.6.12. These several versions are relatively stable.

2017-01-19 14:46:24 When I copy the text from the DFRobot PDF guide - and paste into a word processor as unformatted text and then paste it in, it will work as opposed to when I type it myself. Thid has worked twice.

The most likely errors I would have made in typing it in would be missing or wrong punctuation::

Its a little strange. Did you try the other IDE to see what happened? I guess probably its the problem with the IDE.
