Problem uploading to DFRduino FIO

I bought 20 fio's around 6 months ago and only just recently got the chance to use them. I've soldered header pins onto all of them, but none of them are responding to uploads.
I have an older DFRduino FIO that works fine. I also have 2-3 Sparkfun Fio's and they work fine too. I am using an FTDI cable (bought from Sparkfun I think).
Here's the output from trying to upload the Blink Without Delay sketch:
Sketch uses 862 bytes (2%) of program storage space. Maximum is 30720 bytes.
Global variables use 15 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2033 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

When I plug in the FTDI cable and connect to the USB on my laptop, the red LED on the Fio board turns on. Not sure if this is normal.
Could this be an incorrectly programmed bootloader? Any other ideas? It's pretty urgent as I have less than 2 weeks to finish this project before it goes public. All of my new Fio's are exhibiting the same problem. I've also tried another PC, just in case there was an issue with my laptop. Same problem.

2017-01-24 19:07:30 Yes all 20 from the batch I ordered don't work. A Fio I ordered previously from DFRobot does work. All my Sparkfun Fios work.
How do I get a refund or credit? I didn't pay all this money to then have to flash the bootloaders.

2017-01-19 01:59:13 Hi Sir,
Sorry for your bad experience.
Its a little strange. Would you mind to introduce more details about the whole process when using the module? Some photos for your diagram and the FTDI of Sparkfun might be helpful for us to understand what happened.
Looking forward to your reply.
