nano - no connection

I did try to get a connection between a arduino nano and a pc by usb.
The pc shows in the device manager a connention / driver (micro.....), arduino's IDE accept that port.
If I try to upload a scetch shows the IDE that the upload is started and nothing more.
I wait and wait for the finish of upload, but nothing happens.
If I use the same usb port for a duemilanovo or for a leonarde are there no problems.
Is needed a special invitation for the nano? How can I create a connection
