Fermion DFPlayer PRO speed

Hi! I am thinking of doing a project where I'd be detecting vibration with a piezo sensor and playing samples when detecting vibration.

Project requirements/wishes.

- Use Rpi pico- Store around 60 samples of 1s in length- Be fast/responsive

I am considering:

- Storing the samples as .wav or .mp3 on the pico storage and then play them with a PWM pin.- Gravity or Fermion DFPlayer (Memory included in module)- Fermion DFPlayer (with sd card)- Using an SD module + DAC

I guess the Fermion DFPlayer PRO would beat the sd card approaches on terms of speed. I suppose storing it in the pico itself would be even faster (?) but then there are memory constraints (2mb).

Ideally I would use the Fermion DFPlayer because of its storage capacity. In your experience would that be fast/responsive enough to not show significant delay when for example activating it with a piezo sensor by playing a drum really fast? Is there any data on audio latency for the Fermion DFPlayer PRO module?

Thanks!

Not sure about it.  It will be always good to know a new appliaction.
