Wi-Fi issues after Windows update

But then after installing Windows Update kb3140741 last night, my LattePanda can no longer find any wifi networks even though it was connected fine before. Nothing changed except for the update. I had full bars, then it restarted and updated, and when it came back on, it now claims no wireless networks can be found.
I've tried restarting, enabling and disabling wi-fi... I tried uninstalling updates, but of course, kb3140741 won't allow itself to be uninstalled.
From Googling, this seems to be a known issue, but I've yet to find a good solution. Does anyone know how to fix it... I'd welcome any suggestions. I haven't used Windows in years (I'm starting to remember why), so I'll admit I don't know all the 'tricks' to dealing with these kinds of issues. Thanks for any help!
