Lattepanda and economic power consumption?

Does it make sense to buy a lattepanda just for power consumption reasons, I want to buy one for casual desktop usage ( web browsing, PDF reading, Watching vids), but the only reason I want to buy one is to reduce power consumption of my PC to save money.
