Vcc for LCD 16020 Support

Hey guys,

I am seeing that the LCD 16020 can operate on either 3.3V or 5V from the datasheet, but I have only seen it successfully run at 5V. To run it at 3.3V, do you have to alter the software to change the contrast? I'm trying to make sure I can have it fully operational at 3.3V before I leave a boost converter off of my PCB for powering the display.
