RS485 wind speed transmitter

My SEN0483 - Wind Speed Transmitter Sensor was mounted outdoors. During high windspeed it recorded a reading of 34m/s. After this it now shows reading as 0m/s regardless of windspeed.
I read in the DFRobot Wifi page that the sensor range is 0m/s to 32.4m/s. Since it has recorded a reading above the sensor range, I would like to know if I will have to reset the sensor for it to work properly. Can you confirm?
Otherwise, can you tell me what I should do?
I have not dismantled the sensor. It's still mounted outdoors. The wind speed is currently averaging 12m/s (reading from another sensor mounted nearby) but this sensor's reading has been 0m/s without any change in reading.
Liam.Eric The SEN0483 doesnot have the reset cmd.
During your second test, did the wind speed reach the sensor's starting wind speed of 0.4m/s?
