SEN0395 Does configuration made with UART affect the GPIO2 behaviour?

Hello Everybody, 

does configuration of SEN0395 made with UART affect the GPIO2 behaviour? Or the GPIO2 always uses the same default values: distance 0 - 9 meters, output latency 0, 0?
