Maqueen ... Rotary encoder ?

Hi Humans ! 

I am looking for a robot easy to code for kids. The Maqueens looks really good for that … Buuuut …

We would need for the robot to know the distance it traveled … 
But i don't find if the Maqueen light has anything to record that … 
Can anyone confirm it ?
