This is not recommended because the SIM 808 motherboard must be powered by Vin
JaneYu To get the necessary power to the shield, would you recommend attaching an external battery such as a 7.4V lipo battery directly through Vin pin?
JaneYu The working voltage of this module is 5V, you can directly connect it to the UNO pin to work
Hi Doub,
Please contact [email protected] with detailed information regarding your issue.
JaneYu Hello. I have recently received my SIM808 and the antenna is not able to find the network when I test example code from your library. What should I do to rectify this issue?
JaneYu hi will this work with 4g
I need to connect my Audrino uno r3 board with cloud
JaneYu Hello.
I recently purchased this Item. I followed the steps showed on this page to test the shield.
I connected a supply battery and the ON LED was turned on but the shiled didn't find any signal ever (The NET LED didn't blink).
I'm using a SIM Card from Mexico but currently I'm in Canada but that SIM works fine on my phone here. What else could I do?
Could you help me?
JaneYu Hi, I purchesed this item 5 days ago , But I'm looking a supply battery to this item (SIM808, I think is Input Power 7-23V) .
Could you advise me one ?
Thnx
JaneYu You can use a 7.4V 2200mAh lipo battery.
you can write instructions directly in the code, please refer to the sample code in the wiki, but this is just to send and receive messages or phone calls
JaneYu Have you test the example code about the TCP part and GPS part in the wiki? https://www.dfrobot.com/wik...
JaneYu I´m using an Arduino Mega 2560 with the SIM808 module. I want to send a HTTP Request with my current GPS coordinates. Viewed separately (in two sketches) I can use both functions. If I combine both sketches the module does not receive GPS data anymore.
Which changes are necessary, so that both function can work together?
JaneYu Hi, i'm not able to perform a get request using https instead of http. How I can enable this feature? I read on the sim808 manual that this chip provide that feature.
Thanks
JaneYu Hi you can check the following two antenna. They shares the same specification except the different connector of GPS:

JaneYu 5V voltage is not enough for the SIM808 module, we recommend to have a higher voltage since the power consumed by the shield is large.
JaneYu dfrobot sim808 v1.0, when this module use sim808 library, it sends GPS location to the server, unfortunately, the real location has being indicating at wrong location which is 100km far away. Also I tried to set up the time on GPS tx, but it wont be configured too. The time line is at +8?
