Hi. I want to use Romeo BLE using two motors with encoder. So I need 4 interrupts. How many interrupts does the board have ?

I got one of these boards because of the blue tooth.... Then after receiving it realizing you have to get that Bluetooth dongle just for the Bluetooth to work.... I think that is totally unfair and a slight of the hand.... I would not have bought it if I knew you had to buy something extra just to communicate with it.... At a $40 price point it is ridiculous that you have to buy a dongle to communicate to it via Bluetooth.... That is just absolutely ridiculous. And most likely I will not be buying from DF robot again because of that trick.
JaneYu Is this board compatible with the Gravity IO Expansion Shield for Arduino V7.1?
JaneYu To pair your phone with our BLE device, you will have to use/write a application specifically use BLE (bluetooth 4.0) to communicate. The phone will be automatically connected to our device if they are close to each other. The regular bluetooth in setting, which usually needs a password, does not work. For reference, you can see Bluno Basic Demo in https://www.dfrobot.com/wik.... We provide source code for the app.
JaneYu Please update the firmware first, then do you have another Bluno device? you can set one as the central and another as the peripheral. By checking if the Pair LED is on to verify the connection.
JaneYu My phone couldn't find the Romeo BLE, it's as if it's not working at all. I've searched for the device using both my laptop and my phone an honor 7x which has bluetooth 4.1.
JaneYu Can you enter the AT mode according to the wiki:https://www.dfrobot.com/wik...
Okay, I ordered one from your website today - but for clarity sake, is getting your 'dongle' the 'only' way to upload Arduino sketches to BLE boards? Are there any apps on a 'phone that could do the same? cheers, Mike.
JaneYu Hi DFRobot,
It's a pity you didn't ship a 'Bluno Link - A USB Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) Dongle' with each BLE board. Maybe just increase the price by €2 to cover costs. It would have been a big help to me - as I'd like to upload sketches over bluetooth.
In the meantime - before I order a DFRobot 'Bluno Link - 4.0 (BLE) Dongle' :(, could you please let me know if this BLE dongle from Pimoroni (http://bit.ly/2G8or8g) based on the Qualcomm CSR8510 Chipset (http://bit.ly/2pJiEzh) will work and connect to the BLE chip: TI CC2540 on my Romeo BLE?
It's only £1.50 and shipping take only two days..
Cheers!
JaneYu HI - is there code that will set the board to default so I can access the bluetooth? ... its not showing when I have the board turned on ad try with iPhone app as described....
please let me know asap.
thanks.
JaneYu If you want to set the bluetooth to default, you can use the AT command AT+SETTING=DEFAULT
Hi,
I tried that with no success ....
Is it not the case that if a 'w' is sent, then I should expect to see the voltage change when I attach my voltmeter to the +/- terminal that the motor connects to?
JaneYu Did you tried the Blink sample code? and did you use any other version IDE to upload the code, like 1.6.x?
JaneYu I have a romeo
ble, I would like to retrieve the information from my sensors
(temperature, fan speed, light rate, time, etc ...) and send them on a
website. What I should add as a module knowing that I can not connect to ethernet via a cable. a wifi module? which?
thank you for your answers!
JaneYu Hi
Please have a look of this post https://www.hackster.io/win...
The main board used in it is Romeo BLE and I think your Surface Pro 3 has win 10 OS, you can read it to see if it can help you with your project
JaneYu Bluetooth Link keeps dropping
I am using the basic DFRobot Pirate/Romeo set up, with the GoBLE app on an iphone. The bluetooth link starts up fine and can drive the robot for 30 seconds or so, but then the link fails. Any idea why? Any way to get a more robust and reliable link?
JaneYu The connection problem of BLE may because of the Bluetooth firmware, upgrade your firmware

Hi, I want to connect 4 servo track switches from my Lego railroad to this board (see link for the motor specs).
https://www.4dbrix.com/docu...
Only one or two motors will be working at the same time & only for very short period (just to switch the track)
Do you think it is possible with this board as it is or i need to add some additional parts to this board?
Can i customize GoBle user interface to have just 4 simple switches or you can recommend some better option?
JaneYu Hello is there a way to find the schematic and board files, I mean the original files not the PDF files? Thank you
JaneYu Hi I think if you connect two DC motors and two servos with suitable external power supply, romeo ble would be work normally. If 4 motors, probably the board cant drive them better. And sorry, so far, our ble series product only support our own bluetooth.
JaneYu sir, i would like to know whether this microcontroller support for controlling mouse using sensor. for example, i want to control mouse using accelerometer, can this microcontroller support the function? thanks in advance sir.
JaneYu I've been using Arduino IDE (the cloud version) to program my Arduino kits. Can the Romeo boards be programmed via Arduino IDE? If so, which board should I use to connect the IDE to my Romeo BLE board?
JaneYu Yes, please choose arduino uno board in IDE.
Servo uses the digital pin, and analog could be used as the IR range sensor. it is OK with this board.
JaneYu
