The GSM/GPRS band of this module is 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. For different network operator, it has different frequency band. You should check if your sim card is compatible. And it does not support 4g. It's programmed by Arduino IDE in C, essentially is AT commmand. You can check more info in PRODUCT WIKI.
Can you check the wiring and did you choose the right serial baud rate?

What is the AT command you tried? AT+IPR?

I tried AT+IPR=2400. This command works fine and all is good until power off the module.
On power on again, transmission speed is again set to 115200.
I have tried to write in memory 0 my configuration, including 2400 bps using command AT&W0 or AT&W, without success.

Hello, I cant get this module to work. I am using the GSM initialization code, however, it simply prints "⸮" over the serial continuously.

JaneYu I can send an AT command and the module returns OK. The blue light is constantly on, should this be the case?

It will not register.. I can send AT commands with no problem with the 5v 2a same with the 7.4..
