Hi, i just bought this product, i first plug in with various usb cables and sources without battery and the charging led indicator is flashing and it is not steady red, is this normal? Also the output is ~8.0V but it goes up and down.

The charging indicator is blinking rapidly without access to the battery.
It will light up when the 7.4V lithium battery is connected.
No-load output around 8V is normal.
I see this product is >4 years old.....
Do you have a new version that can also balance the 2 cells?

JaneYu After doing some research you could charge your battery without the balance cable, but this would not be a long term viable solution since your individual cells will eventually drift apart. Our charger would need you adapt the setup to use a barrel connector as well
JaneYu 1. We don't have lithium battery sold in our store now, but you can buy any 7.4V lithium battery like the above picture shows.
2. Yes, 5V 2A is enough for Rpi, with a regulator, it is good to use.
