OpenWrt seems to maintain strong support for the chipsets involved, but the wrtnode team no longer appears to be actively maintaining support or development, at least not in English speaking communities, (though their native language forums seem active.)
If you purchase this be prepared to work, also get the dev cables so you can communicate over UART easily... trust me.
The hardware on this device is insane and the standard shield exposes a tremendous amount of functionality; it could serve as a serious robot brain if need be. You could do a lot more than just openwrt with this board, and I plan to. I’m not clear on what the pcie slot is intended for, it’s... documented maybe... but cool. Something makes me think you could not buy these in large quantities anymore for mass production but you can treat it as an eval board for the cpu/mcu.
TL;DR: Not for beginners, poor software support, poor documentation, great hardware, experts might love it.
