I contacted slamtec for more information but they said to contact DFRobot for further advice. Please help.
The datasheets I got from the Slamtec site seems comprehensive. Robostudio works ok as well. Shame it needs an active internet connection to phone home to mothership, for local map making. Would be really nice to do this offline but I guess thats why there is an SDK. Developer tool, not an out of the box working gadget.
JaneYu The datasheets for the Lidar itself are quite comprehensive. I'm talking about the hardware that's driving the M1M1. There's a processor with RAM and storage running some operating system (ostensibly Linux). But, I can't really confirm much because I don't even have a root password for the device. I'm assuming it's ARM based. But, which ARM core? And, the pin-outs on the controller board are completely undocumented. So, given all of that mystery meat, the SDK will do you no good because you don't know what you're developing on.
