Although this beacon can be configured to do certain tasks it is solely reliant on an app being installed on the end users phone to detect messages from the beacon if one is trying to let's say push messages to nearby users phone. In other words basically useless if you think you are going to put this beacon in an area and market to people unless they have a beacon detection app already on their phone. You could develop your own app but no thanks
