This product does not work well outdoors because the 940nm laser is interfered with by sunlight. We prefer to use it indoors or in a low light environment.

As for the speed you asked about, the product has two modes 640×480(7FPS)
320×240(15FPS).

Is there a full datasheet / user manual available?

I measured 5-6 FPS at 640×480 pixels and 17-20 FPS at 320×240 pixels in ROS 2 Humble.

Hello, thank you for your response. I am currently working with the following GitHub repository: https://github.com/DFRobotd..., but I require access to the measurements in order to use them in another application. Could you please provide me the source code so that I can make necessary edits, or alternatively, could you explain how I can access the dimensional measurements for use?

Do you have any example with python for package volumen meassure?

Sorry we don't have relevant python examples. For this depth sensing camera, we only provide you with ROS SDK.

The sensor is using the 940nm infrared to measure the distance.
While theoretically it is possible to use 940nm infrared light for underwater ranging, practical applications may be affected by factors such as water quality, scattering, absorption, reflection, refraction, and environmental interference. When conducting specific underwater ranging applications, it is recommended to perform field testing and validation to determine suitable light sources and ranging methods.
