Wiring Voice Prompt Module DFR1173

I cannot tell from the images how wiring physically connects to the module from a Raspberry Pi. I see the labeling for Tx, Rx, 5V, GND,….  Are these pins I wire to or places to insert wiring like on a breadboard? I see a USB cable. Is this for adding sound files from a PC? Is there a description of this process and device I can read?
