SEN0161-V2 ph sensor -- DRY (zero fluid in cap)

What should I do if the cap of my sensor was completely dry upon arrival? (white crystals on outside as mentioned in product page, no fluid inside, completely dry). Will it still work? can I add some liquid to it? I have collected the dry crystals back into the cap.
