Arduino Troubleshooting Firebeetle ESP32/8266

Email server connection failure - DFR1117

Using a beetle esp32-c6(DFR1117) and I can connect to email server on power up every time but cannot connect to email server after waking up from a deep sleep from a timer. Using Arduino as IDE and using Esp_Mail_Client.h - Esp Mail Client→SMPT→Sleep as my example code. Have no issues connecting to Wi-Fi and my router.
