Servo DSS-M15S

Hi, 

I bought this servo by mistake, but without feedback. However, I need it, so I simply connected the fourth wire to the potentiometer slider in the servo. Is it analogous to the original servo or did I make a mistake? Could someone tell me what voltage the feedback should be at a 500us pulse to the servo? I have some problems with building my device.
