Beetle ESP32-C6 Deep Sleep current too high

I want to use The Beetle Esp32-C6 in a low power application.  I have set the Beetle ESp32-C6 in Light Sleep mode and noticed 0.8 mA current drawn.  For my application I want a lower value, so I changed to Deep Sleep mode.  However, the current drawn is still 0.67 mA which is still too much for my application.  I suspect the onboard charge LED, which is still blinking even in deep-sleepmode, to draw significant current.  Could that be the case?  And if so, how can I switch this LED off?
