The tech specs Ultrasonic 9-in-1 RS485 Weather Sensor for Arduino | DFRobot Wiki says the “Working Current” is < 10mA, but when I measure it with my multimeter it shows it is pulling 50mA @ 12V.

Is there some register I can poke to put it in a low-power mode?

FWIW the sensor is blinking red - Blinking red light on sen0658- DFRobot Forum

We sincerely apologize for the incorrect working current parameter in the Wiki documentation, and we’re extremely grateful for your careful measurement and valuable feedback—it really helps us correct and improve our product materials! The actual working current of this ultrasonic 9-in-1 RS485 weather sensor is around 50mA, not the <10mA .

1. As the sensor integrates 9 different detection modules, its power consumption is relatively higher, and there is no register to switch it to low-power mode.

2. The blinking red LED is the working status indicator of the sensor and cannot be disabled.
