Can't get Windows 10 to recognize huskylens 2 while updating firmware

Just got a new huskylens 2.  Version 1.2.1.  I am trying to upgrade the Firmware to 1.2.2.  I hold the A button down while powering up and the HL screen stays blank and windows says malfunctioning USB device.

If I power it up normally, windows sees a huskylens drive with a storage directory and some directories below, but all are empty.

Device manager does not see any device called Huskylens

What should I be doing?
