DFR1262 6.67" Flexible AMOLED which axis may be bent, and driver board dimensions?

Hi,

I'm designing an enclosure around the 6.67" Flexible AMOLED kit (SKU DFR1262) and have a few questions the product page and the DFX-TM667009 Rev A datasheet don't cover.

 

1. WHICH AXIS MAY BE BENT?

This is my main question.

I want to wrap the panel around the inside of a vertical cylinder, portrait, so the panel's SHORT edge (69.552 mm) follows the curve and the LONG edge (154.56 mm) stays vertical and flat. Bend radius 69 mm, static, bent once and held.

Coverage of this product says it can be curved horizontally but not vertically. I want to be sure I'm reading that the same way you mean it. With the driver IC at the bottom edge and the panel held portrait, does "horizontally" mean the left and right edges curl back, i.e. the 69.552 mm dimension wraps? If instead the 154.56 mm dimension is the only one that may bend, please say so plainly it changes my whole design.

 

2. MINIMUM STATIC BEND RADIUS?\

 

No value appears in the datasheet. Is 69 mm within spec?

The mechanical drawing labels the outline as CG with a 2.5D curved surface, which reads as a bonded cover glass, so I'd like this confirmed rather than assumed.

 

3. DRIVER BOARD DIMENSIONS

I need to place both boards before the panel arrives:
- HDMI driver board: length x width x max height with connectors
- MIPI adapter board: same
- Mounting hole positions, if any
- Length of the ribbon between the two boards
- Length of the FPC from the MIPI board to the panel
- Are longer cables available?

A mechanical drawing or STEP file for either board would answer all of this at once.

 

4. POWER

- Peak current at full brightness, full-white content? The page gives ~3 W typical but not peak.
- Can the board be powered from a Raspberry Pi 5's 40-pin header 5 V rail?
- Are there solder pads for 5 V and GND, so I can omit the micro USB connector? My enclosure is small and a cable on that socket is a weak point.

 

6. HIGH BRIGHTNESS MODE

Section 9 of the spec lists 450/500/550 cd/m² normal and 900/1000/1100 cd/m² HBM. Can the included driver board enable HBM, and if so how?

Question 1 is the one blocking me — any answer on that alone would help a lot.
