Writing palm template data onto SEN0677 sensor
AP_999 2026-10-14 03:58:36 74 Views1 Replies Hi,
I am working with SEN0677 module and trying to create a centralised palm data for the users. One device will enroll the unique palm template data which is 5844 bytes and save it under a unique user id. That data will be send over to another device so that, that unique template can be written to the device with the user id mapped in the server. So whenever that user scans their palm at the second device, it will be recognised and the mapped user id will be send to the server for maintaining attendance. This way any user need not to be enrolled at the required device and can be wirelessly assigned.
Currently i am able to read the palm template, but unable to write a new template. I referred the datasheet, but did not succeed
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks in advance
AP
Hi AP, on the SEN0677 (library DFRobot_AI10), the official UART protocol / Reference only documents enrollment by live scan plus user management — the API is enrollUser() (captures the face/palm from the camera), getAllUserIDs(), getRecognitionResult(), deleteUser(), deleteAllUser(), with AT+GETUSERS / AT+DELUSER / AT+DELALLUSERS. I don't see a publicly documented command to inject a pre-captured 5844-byte palm template onto a user ID.
So writing a raw template back isn't in the public protocol — it's either not supported by the shipping firmware, or done through a procedure that simply isn't documented. You mentioned you can read the template (a lower-level path), but the reverse write isn't in the wiki.
I'd suggest:
Re-check the Reference doc for any missed "write / import template" command: https://wiki.dfrobot.com/sen0677/docs/21550
If there are indeed no relevant materials, my judgment leans more towards the current firmware not supporting it.
