Hello,

We are currently testing the DFR0678 display module with our customized hardware board.

1) Display works correctly with Raspberry Pi

We tested the DFR0678 display with a Raspberry Pi board, The display powers on and works correctly with the Raspberry Pi,

This confirms that the display can operate under the Raspberry Pi test setup.

We have observed the following issues during testing with our customized Board.

Issue 1: Display repeatedly blinks and powers off

When we connect the display to our customized board and power it on, the display starts blinking and repeatedly turns off.

This behaviour occurs every time we power on the board.

Issue 2: Display is not detected during clock configuration

When we attempt to configure the clock or initialize the display interface, the display is not detected by our customized board.

We would like to understand why the display is not being detected and whether this is related to the interface configuration, communication signals, or initialization sequence.

Issue 3: Insufficient technical documentation

We have obtained a datasheet for the ST7789V2 display controller.

However, we have not been able to find sufficient documentation specifically for the DFR0678 display module.

We need the correct module-level datasheet, pinout, electrical specifications, interface details, initialization commands, and hardware design guidelines.

We request your technical assistance in identifying the root cause of these issues and providing the correct documentation required to interface the DFR0678 display with our customized board.

Hi the DFR0678 is not a ST7789V2 (SPI) panel. It's the 7" DSI LCD touchscreen (800×480, MIPI-DSI, 3.3V@450mA, driven over a FPC to the Raspberry Pi's DSI header). The ST7789V2 datasheet you downloaded is for a completely different SPI TFT and won't apply. That's why it only lights on the Pi and why your board can't talk to it: your custom board needs a MIPI-DSI host to drive it, not SPI/„clock-config" initialization. If your board has no MIPI-DSI, you need a DSI bridge (e.g. SN65DSI83/LT8912) or use an SPI display instead.
