GPS Shield Not Working Correctly

I recently purchased your DFRduino GPS shield with the Ublox LEA-5H chip.

I have it attached to an Arduino Uno and am using the antennae that came with it.

When powering it on and using the sample code provided on the Wiki page, I get "garbled" data or no data at all. Is this because I'm not getting a fix? I have the antennae sitting inside on a window sill.
