Relay Shield for Arduino V2.1 (SKU:DFR0144)

I want to control a AC lamp using Arduino and the relay shield. I'm trying to understand how to do the wiring taking the example of figure 2 from the Relay shield description. But I have some questions. Why is the black wire (ground) connect it to N/A of the relay shield ? What the purpose of the N/A? The only wire needed to be cut is just the hot wire right?
A swappable is recommended but I have no idea what it is or where to buy it

Actually, the N/A is just a hole for connecting two wires together conveniently. I mean so that you needn't solder them together. ;) & make the module, project clean.
You said "hot wire",dose it mean the VCC wire power for the lamp?
