Yun: Can't get Relay Shield for Arduino V2.1 to power on

I have a Yun with stacked headers and a Relay Shield 2.1 attached. The Yun is powered over USB and is running the sample code from the wiki just fine. The relay shield is dead to the world. No lights what so ever.
The wiki has this line:
NOTE:This shield must be external powered 7 to 12V from the Arduino power jack.
My guess is that a Yun can't drive that. Is that why I'm not seeing any power lights on the shield?

The relay shield isn't compatible with Yun.
Arduino Yun doesn't support an extra power supply.
If you are powering the board though the Vin pin, you must supply a regulated 5VDC. There is no on-board voltage regulator for higher voltages, which will damage the board.
