Arduino GIGA Display Shield delivers a compact touch interface solution for projects built around Arduino. Designed to pair directly with the Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi Development Board, this high‑resolution display expansion connects through the dedicated center header, forming a tightly integrated graphical control platform. The interactive screen module combines a vivid 3.97‑inch TFT display, capacitive multi‑touch sensing, motion detection, and audio input into a single stackable shield. Such integration enables the creation of portable dashboards, embedded control panels, and interactive interfaces while leaving the majority of board I/O resources accessible for additional peripherals.
Note: The GIGA Display Shield requires a GIGA R1 WiFi board to function. The shield contains no microcontroller and cannot be programmed independently.
High‑Resolution Multi‑Touch Display Interface
This graphics expansion board integrates a 3.97‑inch TFT screen with a 480×800 resolution and support for 16.7 million colors, delivering clear visual output suitable for modern embedded interfaces. A capacitive touch layer enables responsive interaction with up to five simultaneous touch points and gesture recognition. Fine 0.108 mm pixel spacing and an edge LED backlight provide sharp rendering and balanced brightness, supporting UI dashboards, device controls, and real‑time data visualization in compact embedded systems.

Integrated Sensors for Interactive Applications
Beyond display capabilities, this interactive interface shield includes onboard sensing hardware that enhances human‑machine interaction. A BMI270 six‑axis IMU provides motion and orientation data through combined accelerometer and gyroscope sensing. A digital MEMS microphone captures audio input for sound‑reactive projects or voice‑based interfaces, while an onboard RGB LED offers programmable visual feedback. This sensor combination allows handheld instruments, gesture‑controlled devices, and multimedia control systems to be built directly on the display platform.

Expandable Design with Camera Support
This graphical control shield connects through the central J5 and J6 headers of the GIGA R1 WiFi, attaching from the underside of the development board. Such a mounting layout preserves the upper headers for additional expansion shields and peripheral modules. A dedicated 2.54 mm camera connector allows direct attachment of an Arducam module, enabling vision‑enabled interfaces such as smart monitoring panels, image‑based detection systems, or multimedia devices combining touch interaction with camera input.
