The Multi-function Expansion Board for UNIHIKER is an all-in-one solution designed to unlock the full potential of single-board computers like the UNIHIKER and micro:bit. It directly addresses common project hurdles by integrating a powerful motor driver, a portable power supply system, and extensive I/O expansion onto a single, compact platform. It empowers creations with a 4-channel DC motor driver and 6 dedicated servo ports, while an onboard 18650 battery holder and LEGO-compatible mounting provide robust power and structural versatility. This board is engineered for building mobile robots, interactive prototypes, and other complex projects that require advanced control and complete mobility.
Note: The expansion board offers native support for the UNIHIKER K10. For use with the UNIHIKER M10, the dedicated U-shaped Type-C to HY2.0 adapter (sold separately) is required. A bundled solution for the M10 is planned for a future release.
Integrated Robotics Driver & Power Management
The expansion board serves as the central hub for robotics projects. It integrates a 4-channel DC motor driver and six servo ports, enabling the simultaneous control of complex mechanical systems. The servo interface utilizes an independent power supply from the battery, ensuring stable performance even under high load. The onboard 18650 battery holder, complete with a charging and discharging circuit and a multi-level power indicator, transforms any project into a portable, untethered device, significantly improving mobility and real-world application potential.
Solve power supply issues
Integrated 18650 battery holder and charging/discharging circuit, eliminating the need for cables and external batteries, while the on-board battery indicator light ensures safe power supply, convenient charging, and long battery life, greatly improving project mobility.

Rich I/O & Peripheral Expansion
To overcome the pin limitations of mainboards, this expansion board provides a wealth of additional interfaces while passing through the UNIHIKER's native edge connector. It adds six multi-function I/O pins (supporting Digital, Analog, and 1-Wire), multiple I2C ports (including one 5V port for logic-level compatibility with devices like HUSKYLENS), and a dedicated 5V port for ultrasonic sensors. Furthermore, integrated peripherals such as two programmable RGB LEDs and an IR transmitter/receiver add built-in functionality for status indication and remote control without requiring extra modules.

Compatible with LEGO
Engineered for creativity and rapid prototyping, the expansion shield features M3 mounting holes spaced to be perfectly compatible with LEGO® Technic dimensions. This design allows for seamless and sturdy integration into custom mechanical structures, robotics chassis, and educational models. It bridges the gap between electronics and mechanical construction, enabling the creation of sophisticated, custom-built robots and devices.

User-Friendly & Protective Design
The expansion board is designed for clarity and durability. A comprehensive set of status indicators provides real-time feedback on system power, charging status, battery level, and motor direction, simplifying debugging and operation. All interfaces are clearly labeled and color-coded for intuitive connections. For safety, an acrylic base plate is included to prevent short circuits, and all I/O pins are equipped with ESD protection to enhance reliability during development.
