The LoRaWAN Indoor Gateway (EU868) is an all-in-one network solution designed to create private, long-range IoT systems. It utilizes the EU868 frequency to bridge low-power LoRaWAN devices—ideal for outdoor sensors—to a local network.
This gateway's innovation is its integrated, user-friendly design. It eliminates the complexity of external cloud services by including an onboard SIoT local server, Node-RED visual programming, and a simple scan-to-connect function.
Powered by the 8-channel Semtech SX1302 chip with Ethernet and WiFi connectivity, it provides a stable foundation for smart agriculture, garden monitoring, and outdoor environmental sensing.
Simplified Network Access
Traditional LoRaWAN network provisioning is often complex, presenting a high barrier to entry for non-experts. This gateway eliminates that complexity with a new scan-to-connect method. This function automates node registration and network access, making the process as simple as connecting a new device to a WiFi network and drastically reducing setup time.
Integrated SIoT Local Server
A significant challenge in IoT is server management, which often involves recurring cloud fees or the complexity of building and maintaining a private server. This gateway solves the problem by integrating an SIoT local area network server directly within the device. Data from sensors can be accessed via MQTT, removing the need for external services, saving on costs, and ensuring all data remains private and within the local network.
Built-in Node-RED Visual Programming
To facilitate rapid development and automation, the gateway comes with Node-RED pre-installed. Node-RED is a flow-based, low-code development tool that allows users to visually connect nodes to build complex logic, tasks, and APIs. This enables the rapid creation of automated systems—such as triggering a water pump based on a moisture sensor—without deep coding expertise.
Onboard Data Parser
Raw sensor data is often transmitted in unreadable formats (e.g., hexadecimal bytes). The gateway features a built-in data parser that automatically converts this raw data into human-readable values (e.g., 28°C, 70% humidity). This parsed data is immediately usable in SIoT or Node-RED. For custom sensors, the system also supports the import and editing of JS scripts for bespoke data parsing.
Robust 8-Channel LoRaWAN Performance
The gateway's communication stability is anchored by the Semtech SX1302 8-channel LoRa baseband chip. Combined with a significantly optimized antenna matching circuit, the device delivers stable, reliable communication over long distances, capable of covering more than 4 kilometers in open areas.
Flexible Network Connectivity
Versatility in network connection is essential for deployment. The gateway is equipped with both a 100Mbps Ethernet port for a stable wired connection and 2.4G WiFi for flexible placement. Furthermore, it supports an AP (Access Point) hotspot mode, allowing direct connection via a phone or computer for easy configuration, even when installed in hard-to-reach locations.
